  • Trauma therapy is centered around how overwhelming or painful experiences—especially from early life—continue to shape the way we feel, think, and relate. While traditional therapy might focus on current stressors, trauma therapy goes deeper to help your nervous system settle, make sense of the past, and feel more present and empowered in your life now.

  • If you feel stuck in patterns, overwhelmed by emotions, or like your past is still living in your present—you don’t have to wait for things to get worse. You’re allowed to want more ease, more clarity, more connection. We can start gently, and go from  there

  • There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. Some people feel significant shifts after a few months; others benefit from longer-term work. I’ll check in with you regularly so we can make sure the pace and process feel right for you.

  • I draw from somatic therapy, mindfulness practices, narrative therapy, polyvagal theory and more. These tools help calm your nervous system, reconnect you with your body, and shift the old survival strategies that may still be running the show. We’ll use what works for you—nothing forced, nothing rigid.

  • No. You are always in control of what you share. I don’t believe healing requires rehashing every detail. In fact, we start by building safety in the here and now—by noticing what’s coming up in your body, emotions, and relationships. We’ll go at your pace, with respect for what you’re ready (or not ready) to explore.

  • That’s more common than you might think. You don’t need perfect memories to begin healing. We can work with the emotional and physical patterns that are showing up in your life today, even if you’re not sure exactly where they started.

  • That’s something we’ll plan for together. I’ll help you learn and practice grounding tools that you can use during and after sessions. You’ll never be left alone to “deal with it.” Feeling safe and supported is a priority in our work.
